THERAPY:

Sharp colors and shapes beside rich layered smokey hues: two perspectives play a strange tune of moving past war and disfunction.

There’s a hope that through introspection one might affect external changes that extend beyond ourselves. The works exhibited are products of this exploration, and they offer a glimpse into the way art can reveal this experience. 50% of all sales will be donated in an effort to provide art therapy for Veterans with The Art Station. The Art Station Visionary Veterans Program A little about art therapy- words from American Art Therapy Association: "...Through creating art and reflecting on the art products and processes, people can increase awareness of self and others cope with symptoms, stress and traumatic experiences; enhance cognitive abilities; and enjoy the life-affirming pleasures of making art.... Art therapy is based on the belief that the creative process involved in artistic self-expression helps people to resolve conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal skills, manage behavior, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and self-awareness, and achieve insight."
